IV. International Turkic Energy Union Congress (2025) Empowering Cooperation through Energy in the Turkic World The energy sector stands as a cornerstone of economic growth, sustainable development, and international cooperation. As the Turkish world continues to progress towards greater integration and collaboration, energy emerges as the key driver for fostering partnerships and ensuring a prosperous future for the Turkic states. Recognizing this immense potential, TESPAM, in collaboration with Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), is proud to announce the IV. International Turkic Energy Union Congress , to be held on Sep 24, 2025 , in Ankara, Turkey. Building on the successes of the previous congresses, this landmark event will serve as a platform to unite policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and visionaries from across the globe. The congress aims to address critical issues, share innovative solutions, and develop actionable strategies for enhancing the energy sector within the Turkic world and beyond. Why Energy Matters for the Turkic World Throughout history, the concept of uniting Turkic peoples under a common cause has been a persistent ideal, supported by the principles of rationality, courage, and leadership. Today, energy represents the most important lever to achieve this unity. The abundant hydrocarbon reserves in countries like Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, combined with Turkey’s strategic geopolitical position and energy consumption, provide a unique opportunity for collaborative growth. Resource Abundance: The Turkic world collectively holds 38.3 billion barrels of proven oil reserves and 24.4 trillion cubic meters of natural gas reserves, contributing significantly to global energy supplies. Untapped Potential: Beyond proven reserves, the region holds vast, unexplored opportunities for new discoveries and technological advancements. Strategic Importance: Turkey’s position as a regional energy hub, coupled with its political and economic stability, makes it a critical player in facilitating energy cooperation.
