TESPAM is the leading energy policies focused civil research center based in Ankara. Within its targets, TESPAM is making lots of different activities and studies nearly in all relevant energy issues. Annually organized Turkic Energy Union Congress, East Med Energy Forum, Climate and Energy Forum, Hydrogen Forum, International Black Sea Summit can be given as examples of these events.

One of our annual event the “International East-Med Energy Forum” within the partnership of politicians, academicians and sector cognoscente from Turkiye, Israel, TRNC, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Italy, Azerbaijan, UK will be held on 21th of March which will be in TRNC Cyprus in hybrid form. This summit targets to raise awareness on the importance of peace and possible integration options among the regional actors.

II. International Eastern Mediterranean Energy Forum is an international event based on energy-oriented win-win diplomacy within the resolution of conflicts in the region. Within the event, many issues such as conflicts, solution possibilities, political approaches, economic and value chain factors, sociological and environmental issues, earthquake risks and export alternatives are evaluated in separate sessions.

Continuing with the motto of “Energy to produce real solutions instead of higher conflicts”, an effort is made to create a synergy within the framework of using energy as a leverage for peace in the region.

All the countries of the region were invited to this event to share their ideas (although some of them did not participate) in order to establish a realistic and effective ground for reconciliation and not to marginalize anyone.

We are sure that dialogue between the regional states will be the only way for a real solution for the existing conflicts. In addition to these, energy may be used as the most effective key…
